Tai Chi for the Workplace
Tai Chi makes you
feel good; reduces stress and leaves you feeling energised and now you
can experience the benefits at your office, corporate event or team building
Think of tai chi and you probably imagine groups of people waving their arms about under the trees in a park somewhere in China.
Well that is just part of the picture. From its roots as a martial art tai chi has broadened out to become a popular energy exercise (qigong) that can be done inside or outdoors in normal clothing.
It has its roots firmly on the ground and doesn't depend on new age thinking. When performed by an experienced practitioner the co-ordination of mind and body can be seen as well as felt.
As a form of exercise tai chi doesn't rely on strength or speed for its effectiveness, making it suitable for women and men, young and old, weak or strong.
With even a small amount of regular practice you should expect to see improvements in relaxation, vitality and ability to concentrate.
The complete art of Tai Chi Chuan includes practising the movements 'the form', meditation, and sensitivity exercises. With dedication it is an effective and apparently effortless martial art.
