The Mad Hatter is the pivotal character for any Alice in Wonderland themed parties in 2010.

This leading Mad Hatter Lookalike and Soundalike is available to greet your guests, MC or interact in character in a madcap and eccentric fashion and is exclusive to Calmer Karma.

Meticulously costumed a La Johnny Depp with an amazing replica 12" top hat and theatre quality costume complete with highly detailed makeup. This lookalike and soundalike Mad Hatter can also do the Scottish accent and even 'Futterwack' ( the dance from the new Alice in Wonderland film) so is sure to wow your guests; so don't be late Naughty! Alice in Wonderland - Alice Contortion Act


Alice performs a cheeky contortion act; finishing by drinking the ‘Drink Me’ bottle resulting in her squeezing  inside the small 17’’ x 17’’ x 21’’  house. (Do not try this at home!)

Acrobatic Cards mix and mingle mayhem!


Up to six cards perform slapstick acrobalance and marching routines. The language of card games is used (cut/snap/shuffle/split etc). 30 mins walkabout - this is tremendous fun as a walkabout - the cards work fantastically well with the queen who constantly bosses them about and is generally unhappy about their standard of work - expect impromptu acrobatic lifts and generally crazy antics from the unpredictable suit of acrobatic cards!


Red Queen/Queen of Hearts Stilts

A tribute to the Red Queen this stilt act is not to be missed - fantastic characterisation of the Queen of Hearts/Red Queen ! - don't forget to
add her to your party essential list or it will be off with your head!

ALICE IN WONDERLAND TIM BURTON STYLE CIRCUS ACTS

This is a weird and wonderful show themed around the latest film of Alice in Wonderland.

The Cheshire Cat sits above the guests in a hoop which is set as though resting in a tree while performing agile moves with of course a huge grin.

Alice performs a contortion act finishing by drinking the ‘Drink Me’ bottle resulting by squeezing  inside the small 17’’ x 17’’ x 21’’  house.

The Queen of Hearts meets and greet guests.

The Mad Hatter juggles plates and tea cups in a set of the Mad Hatters tea party.

The White rabbit can work two types of meet and greet. Performing bouncy stilts or performing on foot then climbing into the air to perform an aerial act on white silks.

• Additional characters:
  
  Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee performing a comedy acrobatic/ acrobalance act using a mini trampette.
  
  
• The Dormouse in a giant tea cup

           The March Hare as meet and greet.

This theme can be used as a full 30 minute show or as individual themed acts and walkabout.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND STYLE SHOW

This Alice in Wonderland themed show is based on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and intends to turn the event area into a magical Wonderland by presenting scenes adapted from this quintessential Victorian book.

Most of the scenes are interactive walkabout performance that passers-by can get involved in, giving them the experience of being on their own adventure in Wonderland.

The performers also present a high level of physical skill, strong costume and slapstick humour to keep people entertained. Come and meet some of the characters, in a scene by scene breakdown of the show! Characters (performers) include the Queen of Hearts, The Mad Hatter, Alice herself, the white rabbit, the caterpillar on stilts, and the Cheshire cat

Alice Chasing the Rabbit
Both on stilts, roller skates or on foot - a walkabout sketch that often involves a crowd of children being enlisted by Alice to help find the White Rabbit - a big game of hide and seek. 20mins runabout.

The Mad Hatters Tea Party
The Mad Hatters Tea Party is part walkabout and part static show. The Tea-Party crew (The Mad hatter, March Hare, Dormouse and walking Table) start several tea parties each one interrupted by the Table who gets bored and runs off. Eventually they meet Alice and a scene ensues. The static scene is full of acrobatics and acrobalance routines and can be performed to its own musical soundtrack. 30mins inc 5mins static.

The Caterpillar
The Caterpillar (on a mushroom on stilts) installs himself in some suitable location and waxes lyrical to all and sundry (including Alice). 20 mins static. Highly recommended by CalmerKarma this is barking mad!

The Cheshire Cat
Where possible, we rig a trapeze (onto a tree or beam) or otherwise find a suitable elevated spot for the Cheshire Cat to sit. In a similar fashion to the Caterpillar scene (and usually at the same time) passers-by and Alice are given unhelpful directions by the Cat. If rigging is possible the Cat also performs a routine. 20mins static.

The Pack of Cards
Six cards perform slapstick acrobalance and marching routines. The language of card games is used (cut/snap/shuffle/split etc). 30 mins walkabout.

Croquet and the Queen's Big Number
This is a static finale scene accompanied by a soundtrack requiring a space and a PA. The scene starts with two cards painting roses --this is both slapstick and acrobatic. Alice arrives as does the Knave of Hearts and they share a special moment with a jam tart that is interrupted by the White Rabbit announcing the arrival of the Queen of Hearts (huge and on stilts). Alice is roped into playing (and losing) a croquet match which the Queen celebrates with a big, camp dance number. 15-20 mins staged.

This show works equally well at a party, corporate event, on the street or at a festival.

Scenes can easily be adapted to your event brief.

Examples of previous adaptions include putting various characters on aerial equipment, working around a maze and making a whole hour long staged version.

Performers can also perform individually to greet guests to an event, around your tables or ambiently at the event
