Having spent 12 years perfecting twisted Alice in Wonderland themed entertainment, what the Tweedledum do you put together for an Alice in Wonderland themed party for eleven uber chic children aged  3 to 11?  (Certainly not a drag tarot reading Alice such as we spun together for a recent  event!)  So, the team sat on the office floor eating Jelly Tots for the day and looked at Alice in Wonderland from a different perspective.  Two weeks later; 13 performers, 1 event manager, 1 stage manager and 1 lemur (long story) set off for the lush pastures new of world famous Bishops Avenue, the only part of the UK to have never been  visited by an IKEA lorry.  And, it was all to entertain 11 smaller than normal guests.

Deep in the Wonderland Rabbit Hole (or back of house as we call it) to the untrained eye it might look like the Mad Hatter Lookalike has fallen asleep, but Alice in Wonderland event managers are familiar with the ‘Hatter Futterwacken Sacred Ritual’ practiced by all Mad Hatters on the first Saturday of each month.  Any moment now this Hatter will leap to his feet, bark like a Gryphon, challenge you to a game of hopscotch, straighten his hat and make his way front of house.

Err…the Red Queen’s as bald as a Mock Turtle!  Don’t tell anyone or she will have your head!
Put that in your red tarts bossy pants.

Sound the horn White Rabbit! Cue the Mad Hatter yoga and throw open the gates – time to get this Alice in Wonderland party started…Gangnam style! – whoop whoop…

(Now, that’s a front door and a half and no doubt I’d be blowing my trumpet if I had one. 
The door or the trumpet.)

If Wonderland leaves you feeling confused, look away now! This Cheshire Cat obviously has some spatial awareness issues! It's OK: it's a mansion; no need to worry about how mushroom!.

Oh a cool handsome magician for eleven year old girls – can’t go wrong as an event manager.

Stop larking about Cheshire Cat Contortionist the Red Queen is about to arrive!

Come along Alice; the DJ is playing Rhianna I love this natty tune!, time for a quick conga round the garden and then we’ll stop for the Mad Hatters favourite tea and birthday cake!.  Do keep up at the back Red Cards.

Now, that’s how to do an Alice in Wonderland birthday cake and candy table. 
Just time to sing happy birthday to our very special guest and then…

suddenly, they were gone, back down the rabbit hole to Wonderland.
